Description

The European Commission's in-house science service – the Joint Research Centre (JRC) organises the conference “EU- Arab countries Innovation conference: Paving the way for international research collaboration and technology transfer”.
This hybrid event is organised in collaboration with WIPO, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and within the framework of the European Technology transfer Offices Circle (TTO Circle), a network of the technology transfer offices of the 36 major public research organizations in Europe.
At the present, the European TTO circle collectively represents 200.000 researchers and support staff, 35.000 patents and 4000 start-ups in Europe.
Technology transfer refers to the process of conveying results stemming from scientific and technological research to the market place and to wider society.
The conference will gather European and Arab technology providers, technology transfer officers, policy makers and international organisations to share experiences and lessons learned. One of the key objectives is to discuss synergies, challenges and opportunities afforded by international research collaboration and technology transfer among European and Arab research organisations.
International initiatives fostering research collaboration and business development will be presented.
