Description

The event will focus on women in leadership, emphasising the contributions of female leaders, providing role models, sharing success stories, and discussing barriers leading to underrepresentation of women in government, including in elections and political processes. It will address traditional socio-economic, cultural, and customary barriers and societal issues in general that continue to complicate wider women participation in governance and will help to identify ways, in which local gender goals can be addressed and aligned to the EU and global goals. Senior women leaders from the EU and Member States will have opportunities to interact with their GCC counterparts, share their professional experiences and forge stronger people-to-people relationships.
